"Nimble" means agile in movement and quick to comprehend, and that's how our product impresses users. It is a smart voice memo app with AI technology that can understand your topic and quickly generate the most suitable template in different situations.

Different scenarios require different solutions.

When you're having your office meeting with coworkers, the goal is to utilize the group's wisdom and generate the best solution, so that’s why you need to see everyone’s opinions. But when you take the class, the main focus should be on your professor's lecture. As a student, you must always take notes as the course progresses. That's why I put the transcription and note sections side by side.

Except for long talks, music is another story because it could be more word-focused. So here, you can see the moving background changes at your rhythm to emphasize the fluidity of the music.

Visualizing your instant ideas is also essential because you may need to remember why you mentioned this without another background. Images can increase your memory.

Voice memo usually leaves people with the impression of being inflexible and uncontrollable. All you can see is just a process bar with nothing else. To break that stereotype, Nimble provides features to make you feel everything is under your control.

In reality, when recording something, you may need other tools to upload the files or provide some links. Nimble has some selective tools to conveniently use based on research and interviews with people from various fields. It has keywords, summaries, links, attachments, reminders, and members.

Competitors in current marketing are doing two types of jobs: recording information quickly and helping you become more organized. They try to make their products flexible to fit different platforms and powerful enough to deal with any information.

To stand out from all of the competitors, I think:

Most competitors only focus on specific user groups, so my opportunity is to incorporate multiple features and help more people. Also, using AI to classify memos first and provide necessary tools can save users' time because only some features are essential to have everywhere.

Learnings

1. Improve Color Classification

Although my icons make sense to every user, when I do the task with them to test how well they remember the icon and quickly take action, I figure out that users usually do better in reacting with general color.

2. Reduce attachment file card
& clarify the different format

Currently, the large rectangle card for attachment files is not perfect because it's not clear for people to recognize different files, and it takes up too much area, which is not friendly if the user has too many files. So I change the design of it.

3. Reduce options

Too many options sometimes annoy users, and most are seldom used. So I get rid of some possibilities and only leave some necessary filters to simplify the experience of searching.
